Yes. Jolt Engineering holds professional engineering licenses in 20+ states across the US. Every plan set is PE-stamped by a licensed engineer in the state where the project is located, no rubber-stamping, no third-party PE shops.

What types of projects do you specialize in?

Jolt Engineering specializes in commercial and industrial (C&I) solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV charging infrastructure. We focus exclusively on commercial projects. No residential. Our clients are EPCs, solar developers, and commercial contractors.

Chad Buccine spent a decade on the EPC and procurement side of the solar industry before founding Jolt in 2017. He hired engineers, managed installations, and experienced firsthand what bad designs cost in the field. Jolt engineers with that context. Every design is reviewed for constructability, not just code compliance.

How long does it take to get a commercial solar plan set?

Most commercial plan sets land in a 2 to 3 week range, and we confirm a realistic turnaround at kickoff. It can be sooner or longer depending on the size of the project, the site, and what the local jurisdiction requires. Because we build AHJ-specific requirements in from the start, most sets pass on first submission, which keeps the total timeline shorter than firms that run multiple revision cycles.

Do you charge for AHJ revisions?

No. AHJ and utility revisions are included at no extra charge. We aim to get it right the first time, and when the AHJ comes back with comments, we handle them as part of the engagement.
